God rejoices over you!

* God is far more complex than just one emotion. Jesus felt anguish, pain, joy, frustration, and compassion. The Father’s emotions are seen best in His interactions with Moses. The Holy Spirit can be grieved. All these feelings point to a God that’s emotional range is far greater than one sermon can express.

Humanity can break the heart of God, stir up righteous anger in Him, and can cause Him to rejoice. This service was dedicated to just one of God’s emotions toward us. Let me encourage you to study, and discover in the Bible, the full range of God’s emotions toward humanity.

“God rejoices over you!

In an honest look of my life in comparison with Jesus’ life what reason would God have to rejoice…

Nowhere in the Bible does it say He rejoices over a nice sunset…

What a mystery God’s love is… I know His love and yet I cannot fathom the depth at which He loves us… and yet He rejoices over us…

And God just doesn’t solemnly, quietly rejoice over us…

God looks at all His creation and says “it is good.” But He looks at us; those that are bought by His great sacrifice on the cross… a child of God, a full heir of Salvation…

And He cannot contain Himself, He doesn’t say simply “it is good” but He shouts with Joy!!

My friends we haven’t even come to the edge of the water of God’s great love for us… and all that He asks is that we look to Him…

God wants us to know Him, and know the protection of being the apple of His eye…”
