Ministry in all Seasons

Sorry for the continued technical difficulties, we are working them out.

(The sermon portion of the service begins around minute 53)
“Mountain top experiences are to bind us up, restore us, draws closer to Jesus… but they are also to prepare us to minister to others…

Jesus’ faith was built up in His prayer time… Jesus went into this prayer hurting, emotionally and physically exhausted, but He left His prayer time built up, and with the faith to walk on water, and with the empowerment that if people only touched Him they could be healed…

Jesus minister from a place of personal healing and refreshing from God the Father… and He did not take His foot off the gas, knowing He was blessed and restored not only for Himself but for others…

Jesus ministered from hurt and brokenness, not allowing that to blind His compassion… in spite of the insensitivity of others to His needs He still ministered…

If we’re waiting for the circumstances of our lives to be perfect to minister, we will never engage…

This doesn’t mean we can’t grieve, feel loss, or need rest… all of which Jesus would feel and receive healing in His time of prayer… This just means that in season, and out, our eyes need to be receptive to the doors of ministry that God is opening…

Ministering out of brokenness is central to what it is to be a follower of Christ, central to what it is to be called by Christ two minister to this world…

Ministering out of this brokenness requires us to depend upon Christ… just as Jesus depended upon the Father in prayer and empowerment in this story… in depending upon God in this way we are depending upon a well that will not run dry…

In ministering out of brokenness we share in the ministry of Christ… and if we share in Christ’s brokenness we will also share in Christ’s joy…

Will you purpose in your heart not to allow the circumstances around you to keep you from seeing the needs of those around you…

I don’t believe God is calling us to be Superman… there are times when we need rest and healing… but at some point we have to step out of that rest and get back into the battle … in the scripture Jesus took time to rest, but He didn’t set up camp in His rest…

Out of Jesus’ brokenness He desires to minster to you…”
