Pentecost Sunday: Happy Birthday to the Church!

“The ground is level at the foot of the cross, and there is no room for pride with the work of the Holy Spirit…

The Holy Spirit is not an “it,” He is not “electricity” but equal in deity with both God the Father and Jesus Christ…

The person and work of the Holy Spirit was vital in the eyes of Jesus and the first century believers… the Holy Spirit is not just something that is a quaint little additive to our lives…

The Bible teaches us that if you have put your faith in Jesus you have the Holy Spirit within you… The Bible also teaches us that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a distinct and subsequent gift to that of our initial experience with Jesus…

The fact that Peter and John were not satisfied with only salvation and baptism in water tells you what they thought about the baptism in the Holy Spirit… It is important!

• The Holy Spirit is gives us power… Both the inward and outward work of the Holy Spirit is empowering us for His service within our lives…

• He also gifts us with an overflowing fullness of His Spirit… As we respond to the Spirit’s direction and exercise His power, this living water will flow out of our lives to others with spiritual healing and the lifegiving message of Christ…

• The Holy Spirit creates in us communion with God that has no adequate words to express it, a deepened reverence, or awe, for God…

• The Holy Spirit gives us an intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work…

• And the Holy Spirit gives us a more active love for Christ, for His Word and for those that do not know Jesus…

The more active the Holy Spirit is within your life, the better tool you can be in the hands of the Carpenter…

My friends, Jesus desires that you would have this gift! All you have to do is ask…

God desires that you would live the fullest life in Christ possible…”
