The Test of Perseverance in Suffering and Patient Endurance

“We desire that the spiritual birth rate of this community would exceed that of the physical birth rate, but before revival transforms our community it must begin in us…

Owner’s manuals are used to diagnose and restore areas of weakness, and get things in tip top shape… this is our desire spiritually…

Genuine love has to challenge us at times…

“Count it” means to consider or evaluate… this is not an emotional response… this is not a natural reflexive response in our humanity… This is a deliberate and conscience commitment to face hardship in God honoring ways…

We all experience hardship, but how we experience it makes the difference…

If we fail these tests that is when temptations sneak in… we blame God… this Jesus things isn’t working for me… we turn to pet sins (self-medicating our souls)… and betray our faith…

But when we commit ourselves to godly responses to hardship we open the door for personal growth and glory to God… it “produces steadfastness…”

If we can faithfully cling to Him our tests will have their “full effect”…

At the end of this perfecting process we will be able to face life’s hardships “Count(ing) it all joy”…

The problem has never been wealth, but what our wealth pursues, selfish gain or God…

When our faith is tested will we persevere, will we be steadfast? Our hearts must be “establish(ed)” in faith and patience…

Part of honoring God in faith and patience is honoring our fellow man…

We started today talking about revival, and it beginning in us… The enemy doesn’t give up his ground easily, and if we want to see revival, there will be resistance, trial, and hardship… how we navigate that will be the difference between survival and thriving… between maintaining and revival…

In the end if we will remain steadfast and endure we will experience the reward, compassion and mercy of the Lord. And receive the crown of life…”
