Fearless: In The Shadow of the Almighty

“Being “fearless” as we’re talking about it doesn’t mean we’re never afraid… only that our faith is greater than our fear…

Fearlessness doesn’t happen in a vacuum, it is only truly expressed when there is something that could cause you fear (real or imagined) …

The Father for the hospitality of us sinners, His beloved creation, was willing to sacrifice his own son for us … When we come into The Father’s care, and we grab hold of the cords of His tent, we come under the shadow of the protection of the Almighty…

The Lord’s name here speaks both of his power to deliver us and his tenderness to hold us near and comfort us… The Father doesn’t shelter us because He has to, but because He desires to…

Whether the attacks are unexpected or expected, both Gods power and love are sufficient to cover you in His shadow…

Our protection is because we have made Him our dwelling place…

God never promised that we wouldn’t face problems, but that when problems, when they come we don’t have to fear… because if we are in Christ we are under his shadow … we can know His protection …

It’s not enough just to visit the shadow of God when you are in trouble…

The Bible tells us to go boldly before the throne of God, it’s hard to go boldly before throne and presence of God when we allow ourselves to be so unfamiliar with it…

Keeping our thoughts on him helps us to dwell with him…

This is not just telling us to not think about bad things… but it’s telling us to focus our minds on the good things of God…

God extends His shadow over those who placed themselves under His protection, when we move out of His desires, we move out of His protection… walking in sin and expecting Gods covering is what many people do… and then they get mad at God when Satan capitalizes on their exposure…

This word was given through a man that knew hardship but also a man who knew what it was to abide in the shadow of the Almighty…

God wants you to not only receive freedom in Christ, shelter in Christ, but to share the freedom and the shelter we have in Christ with others…

We do not become fearless when we focus on the challenge before us, we become fearless when we live in confidence in the One we’re depending upon…”
