“God has called us to a life of “walking in the Spirit…”
How did this Donkey’s owner respond to his divine appointment?
Jesus did just send the disciples in the city to get a random donkey, Jesus directed them to this specific donkey… This man’s donkey…
So how do we respond when Jesus asks for our donkey? Do we the trust God with what we value, what’s important to us… it’s a little easier to trust him with the smaller things that we don’t really care about…
We can sometimes fantasize about the grand things spiritually but then neglect the simple obedience to God’s voice that He desires…
This donkey was good and could have still been a great service to the owner… but only in giving it over to Jesus did it bring glory to God… and maximize its eternal value…
Are there things within our lives that are good, and being used well in our own eyes, but are yet to be handed over to God… to be used for there greatest potential?
What’s your donkey… When we talk about our donkey, I’m not talking about issues of sin… we need to deal with those issues, but that’s not the point here…
What’s something you value that the Lord is asking of you…
I believe God would challenge us today to examine our hearts for those “objects of reluctance”… Maybe giving those things up to Jesus, is the key to living in the fullness of God that we feel like we’re missing out on…
Live with open hands towards God (and in general)… we can trust Him with what we value most, He will only multiply its value and worth, whether in eternity, or here in this lifetime…
So on this Palm Sunday, let us not miss our Divine Appointments… and let us live with a willingness to give God our Donkey when He is calling for it…”
