“We were created for the presence of God…

Even as Jesus was fulfilling the Fathers plan for Him on this earth and dying on a cross, He loved us and desired to be with us… we see His genuine relationship with “His own…”
• He wanted to be with His tribe…

You and I were created to be in the genuine, experiential presence of God… this is not emotionalism, but simply genuine relationship…
• God must be more than facts or ideas… we need to commune with the genuine presence of God…

The very point of eternity simply to know Him… John 17:3

So, if we’re created for His presence, what do we do in His presence…

We were created to worship God…
John 4:23 “for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.”

The Father is seeking out worshipers…
• We worship Him in: song… meditation… prayer… to talk with Him… scripture… in the writings of great men and women of God… art… to see His glory expressed in every nook and cranny of our lives…
• in serving others…

It’s only pride that prevents us from allowing Jesus to serve and minister to us…
• I’ve done too much… I can do it on my own… I’m a good person…
• We must allow Jesus to minister to us…

Jesus washes our feet and still does… we’re called to also wash His…

Jesus is telling us to serve others as He has served us… Think about just how much God has ministered to you… the grace He’s given us… His work in us… His generosity…

• Let us serve one another in love… this is part of our worship to God… As we wash the feet of others, we are washing the feet of God… “What you do unto the least of these…”

And we’re on the clock… Were only given one lifetime to do it…

• Night will someday come to us all, let us be found working, and knowing His presence, until the last sliver of light disappears over the horizon… let’s be good to the last drop…

Order Matters Here…
• First appreciate that you were created for such a noble purpose… To experience the real and living presence of God…

• Second, find Him is a lifestyle of worship… (in song, in meditation, in prayer, in scripture, in serving others, to see His glory expressed in every nook and cranny of our lives) … that His glory, His presence would shine through you to a world in need of the great love of God…”
