The Urgency of the Moment

“We are to be urgent, but urgency doesn’t mean recklessness, we must also prepare…

These virgins look outwardly the same… they all seemed ready to go… it’s easy to assume where people are at in this Lord, but it is unwise…

If we’ve experienced God in the past it’s good… but we must have an active and present relationship with God, only in that will we know salvation… A salvation prayer is to be the beginning line of relationship with God, not the beginning, middle and end…

The unwise were banking on the idea that the grace of others could fill in their lacking faith…

They thought they were well, but they were self-deceived, living on past experiences and not ongoing relationship…

If we haven’t made our calling sure we must do so… don’t be shut out of the ark and wedding party… don’t take another breath living with this lack of grace that will not persevere until the end…

He was giving them something that wasn’t there’s, they couldn’t own property… they were to administer the masters gifts that He would gain from giving to them… the truth is He could have held onto them Himself…

We’ve all been given something that we can give glory to God with… small or great in man’s eye’s…

The master knew what they could handle… and to all of us He gives to our ability to handle it in Him… no one can say they have nothing…

He gives us a free will to display faithfulness, and glory to God…

Some people have been given awesome gifts, and have never exercised them, and buried them robbing God of the great glory He deserves from our lives…

They simply did the best with what they had… this is God’s expectations with us…

They weren’t commended for their success “Good and Faithful”… (Good) kind, merciful, honest, (Faithful) true to the desires of his master, not inactive…

We need to come to know the true character of God in order to truly serve Him rightly…

We are saved by God’s grace and mercy through faith in Him, but that faith and grace and mercy must affect our lives…

God simple concern is that all His gifts, great and small in the eyes of men, be placed into service and that there is an increase… By serving others they had the great honor of serving God…

When you serve people on the front lines of ministry… the persecuted church… the down and out… the stranger… the neighbor… we are serving God…

This lifestyle is one of increasing our talents…

It is our own doing, both our actions and in-actions, that makes us unfit for the reward of Christ and Heaven…”
