Thirst for God

“David, having “a heart after God,” would always end things declaring his trust in the character and the person of God. (It’s awful right now, but I trust God)… this is a wise perspective, both honest and trusting…

How personal do we hold God? Is He God, or my God… not that we own God, but He owns us and takes care of His own…

Greater than the desire of holding onto life, and the pleasures of life, is the lovingkindness of our God…

God’s word is the most practical real thing you can read… He gets it, He gets real life, we serve a real God… And He understands this contrast between His holiness and how things should be, and the sin of this world and how things are, and His response is simple… Trust that I am just… justice is always met…

And in all situations seek to live out Psalm 63:1 –

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”
